Richard A. Aust, 64, of Lawrenceville, N.J., died on Jan. 5, 2016, at home.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange, N.J., on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 12 noon. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Richard lived in Mission Viejo, Calif., and Lake Forest, Calif., before moving to Lawrenceville. He was director of technical services for iTi Tropicals in Lawrenceville since 2013. Richard was also director of research and development at Bolthouse Farms, Bakersfield, Calif., where he developed their beverage line, and was vice president of manufacturing and technology of Sambazon, Inc. in San Clement, Calif. He earned a B.S. in physics from Seton Hall University.
Beloved husband of Margaret (Festa) Aust, he was the loving father of Randy and Maggie, and dear brother of Pamela Ferguson, Barbara Aust, and Terry Aust.
