Obituary of David F. Emma

 David F. Emma, 69, of Millburn passed away at Overlook Hospital on June 20, 2022. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home,  2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood, on Sunday, June 26^th at 2:00 PM. Interment is private. Born in Newark, David has lived in Millburn for the past 17 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Montclair State. David was an English teacher at Union High School until his retirement in 2012.

David was a gentleman, a gentle man, a devoted Yankees fan, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and an inspiring educator who touched the lives of thousands of young people in his 36-year career. 

David is survived by his wife Sara Sherman, son David J. Emma, daughter Kristin Waters, siblings Robert Emma, Richard Emma, Denise Korn and Michael Emma, grandchildren Addison Emma and Hailey Waters. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
