Wai Gon (Fred) Ng, 92, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2019. The family will be receiving friends at The Jacob Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, NJ on Saturday Feb. 9th from 2:00-3:30pm followed by a Memorial Service at 3:30pm. Wai Gon (birth name Kwok Ying) Ng was born 1926 in Guangdong Province,China. Although orphaned at a young age, through perseverance Wai Gon finished his education and worked as a manager with Caldbeck, MacGregor Ltd., in Hong Kong for 35 years. He won the love of Shan Shan Yeung, his dear wife for 59 years. A devoted father and grand-father, he loved cooking and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed studying race horse form at the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

 

He was predeceased by his son Steven Hor Fei Ng. He is survived by his wife, Shan Shan Ng Yeung, daughters Bonnie Yan Yan Ng, Lily Ng, Holly Hoi Yee Ng, daughter-in-law Sandra Songalia, son-in-law Douglas Forrest, grandchildren Erika Steven Ng, Iain San Hoi Forrest, Dougal Sing Hoi Forrest, Fiona Ying Hoi Forrest and Kevin Bernor.
