Michele A. O'Cone, 47, of South Orange, N.J., died on Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Overlook Hospital, Summit, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Tuesday, March 15, at 10:30 a.m. Interment is private. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Born in Summit, N.J., Mrs. O'Cone was a lifelong resident of South Orange. She was a certified public accountant with the Giordano, Cohn, Fastiggi, Luciano & Co. in Florham Park since 2007. She previously worked as controller for the King James Nursing Center in Chatham, N.J., for many years. She was a graduate of Kean University with a B.A. in accounting and Seton Hall University with an M.B.A. She was a member of the A.I.C.P.A. and an active member of the Parent-Teacher Organization of South Orange. She was the beloved mother of Rachel H. Wasserman; devoted daughter of John O'Cone Sr. and Mary DeCicco O'Cone; loving sister of Joanne Ryan, John J. O'Cone Jr., Diane Fastiggi and Michael A. O'Cone; dear aunt of Jennifer, Patrick, Patricia, Kimberly, John III, Michael, Rebecca and Matthew. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society , 7 Ridgedale Ave., Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, N.J. 07927 would be appreciated.
