Smargiassi --- On Saturday, August 7, 2010 Theresa "Terri" Smargiassi (nee Scioscia) Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church 217 Prospect St., South Orange on Wed, Aug 11th at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to Hospice of NJ, 400 Broadacres Dr., 1st Floor, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 who were so kind to Terri in her final weeks. They raised their children in Nutley and worked together for many years at Sweda International. The joy of her life was cooking Sunday meals for loved ones and passing on precious family recipes and traditions. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas R. Smargiassi Sr. Beloved mother of Thomas R. Smargiassi Jr. and Joan A. Colley. Treasured grandmother of Jillian, Jessica and Jackie Colley, Thomas Smargiassi III and Rachel Kowalczyk. Aunt, Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
