We worked together when I was a subconsultant to TAMS. I was thinking of him recently and hoped to contact him to say hello. I was saddened and shocked to see this notice. I extend my deepest sympathy (belatedly) to his wife and family. You lost a very fine man. Gordon was a true gentleman with the rare qualities of common sense, fairness and reasonableness. We tackled many thorny problems together and his grace, humor and intelligence prevailed.
It was apparent that he was a content man and loved his family very much.
One day we went to lunch when our accounting nightmare took longer than expected and he introduced me to the pleasures of "real" Caesar salad, made at the table. Until then I thought I did not like salad as I hated (and still hate) iceberg lettuce. Gordon introduced me to Romaine lettuce and I have been eating salad since. Whenever I have a really good Caesar I think of Gordon and thank him.
