William P. Edmund Jr., 90, of Toms River, formerly of Maplewood, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Monday, March 15, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. only. Interment will be in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com Born in Richmond Hill, N.Y., Mr. Edmund lived in Maplewood for 49 years before moving to Toms River eight years ago. He was a computer programmer with J.P. Morgan, New York City, from 1946 to 1982, when he retired. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps with the 711th Bombardment Squadron in the European Theater, from 1941 to 1945. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Maplewood. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn L. Pfaff Edmund; devoted father of William P. Edmund III, Denise A. Christensen, Richard L. Edmund, Diane C. Adams, Margaret A. Lynch, Donna M., Robert S. and the late Andrew A. Edmund. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905 or Hospice of NJ, 40 Bea Lea Road, Toms River, N.J. 08753 would be appreciated.
