Brenda Casserly President and Chief Executive Officer ERA Franchise Systems LLC Brenda Willis Casserly of Maplewood, formerly of Atlanta, Ga., died on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell, Ga., on Saturday, April 11. For more information or to send condolences please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Mrs. Casserly was president and chief executive officer of ERA Real Estate. She had served as chief operating officer prior to being appointed president and was responsible for day-to-day operations including service support, educational development, special events, and awards and recognition programs. She has been the driving force in the development of many of the tools ERA Real Estate provides to its brokers and sales associates. Mrs. Casserly's real estate career spans more than two decades. Prior to joining ERA in 1998 as senior vice president, she held several executive positions with other national real estate companies, including senior vice president, chief operating officer, and director of operations review. In addition, Mrs. Casserly operated Coldwell Banker Security Real Estate, a multi-office real estate company in the tri-city area of Tennessee and Virginia. Like many real estate professionals, she began her career as a sales associate. Mrs. Casserly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History/Sociology and a Master's of Arts degree in Consultative Psychology from East Tennessee State University. She was named one of the 2004 Women of Influence by NJBIZ for her professional accomplishments. She was the beloved wife of Michael F. Casserly; devoted mother of Elizabeth Thrower and Benjamin Eller; dear stepmother of Jennifer D. Miller and Michael F.T. Casserly; loving grandmother of Andrew Thrower and Skylar Miller, and also survived by her sisters-in-law, Pat Evers and Christy Federspeil, and cousin, Sonia Crumbley.
