Helen Lennon Bulman, 85, of Maplewood passed away at her home on July 24, 2008. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Wednesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Helen, a graduate of St. Vincent Academy in Newark, entered Nurses Training School at St. Joseph Hospital in Paterson. She graduated as president of the 1946 class. Her nursing career included work at St. Joseph, East Orange General Hospital, Orange Memorial Hospital and New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. She married William J. Bulman in 1950. They and their family have lived in Washington, D.C., Knoxville, Tenn., Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Cleveland, Ohio, where her husband was employed as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Helen was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange for 43 years, and served as Eucharistic minister. She also volunteered at Stepping Stones in Livingston and at St. Johns Soup Kitchen. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William; five children, Kathleen Altieri and her husband, Joseph, Mary Ellin Sweeney, William Bulman III and his wife, Catherine, Frances Hall and her husband, David, and Jane Byrne and her husband, Joseph. Helen is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, Lauren Courtney and her husband, Kevin, Kerry McCartney and her husband, Kevin, William Bulman IV and his wife, Kathryn, Bridget Bulman, Lindsay DAmbola and her husband, Bret, Gregory Altieri, Kaitlin Sweeney, Bryan Bulman, Molly Hall, Sarah Sweeney, Katie Hall, Kevin Byrne, Willie Hall and Tara Byrne. In lieu of flowers, donations to Atlantic Homecare & Hospice, 33 Bleeker St., Millburn, N.J. 07041 would be appreciated.
