Obituary of Charles G. Mandy

Charles G. Mandy, 77, of Maplewood died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Parish, 285 Nesbit Terr., Irvington, on Friday, June 13, 2008, at 10 a.m. Entombment is in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Newark, Mr. Mandy resided in Maplewood for 23 years. He was a production expeditor for Wallace & Tiernan, Belleville, for many years before retiring. Mr. Mandy was a Korean War Army veteran, serving as a corporal from 1952 to 1953, and received three bronze stars. He was the beloved husband of Helen Kowalick Mandy; devoted father of Valerie Eger and Karen Scheick; dear grandfather of Ryan and John Eger and Tom and Danielle Scheick.
