Obituary of William D Ferguson

William D. (Bill) Ferguson, Jr., 78 of Short Hills, NJ passed away at home on March 31, 2016. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:15 am on Saturday, April 23 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Short Hills. Mr. Ferguson was born in Kingston, NY. He graduated from Fenwick High School, Oak Park, IL in 1955 and from The College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA with a B.A. in Political Science in 1959. He then served 2 years in the Navy stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, until 1961. He married his wife of 52 years, Christine, in 1963. Bill was a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors in Short Hills, and previously with Prudential Securities and E.F. Hutton for 50 years. He began his career as a sales representative for Republic Steel. He has lived in Short Hills for the past 47 years. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Christine, children Will (wife Claudia) and Mary (husband Colin), grandchildren Henry, Peter, William, Joseph, Evey and his brother John Ferguson (wife Terry).
