Ernie and I were Peace Corps volunteers in Korea many years ago. He came to several reunions of our group, most recently in 2012, and it was always great to see him again. We, his fellow volunteers, are deeply shocked and saddened by his sudden death.

I am so sorry to hear of Ernesto Passing. I will be prying for you and the family. I have so many memories of Ernesto and our growing up that I don't know were to begin. The memories are rich and special to me and I am sure it's the same for everyone that was in group. He was soft spoken, gentle and most of all kind. I just took out pictures of us and it made me cry.
