Obituary of Nam Q. Tran

Nam Q. Tran, 49, of West Orange, N.J., was taken to heaven, at home, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. The family will be receiving friends at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, N.J. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment is at Hanover Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J., on Saturday, April 5. Born in Qui Nhon, Vietnam, Mr. Tran had lived in West Orange since 1980. He had been a waiter at Nero's Restaurant in Livingston, N.J., for the past year. Previously, he worked at Pal's Cabin in West Orange for over 26 years. Mr. Tran was the beloved husband of Lieu Bui Tran; devoted son of Mai Ngoc Tran and the late Thuan Hoa Tran;dear brother of Beatrice Nguyen, Hoa Lam, Kelvin and Don Tran, Thu Ung, Lan Tran, Kim Villa, Marlene Tran and Darlene Murray; he is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews for whom he had tremendous love, affection and generosity.
