Obituary of Ronald J. Prochoren, Sr.

Ronald J. Prochoren Sr., 65, of Fords, N.J., formerly of Maplewood, N.J., passed away suddenly on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Raritan Bay Hospital, Old Bridge, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday, Sept. 6, at 11:30 a.m. Interment is private. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Newark, N.J., Mr. Prochoren lived in Maplewood for 35 years before moving to Fords six years ago. He was a public land surveyor with Gregory Prochoren P.L.S. in Woodbridge, N.J., from 1982 until retiring in 2008. A Vietnam War veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1968. He was the beloved husband of Mary Faynor Prochoren; devoted father of Ronald J. Jr., Donna A., and Marc W. Prochoren; loving grandfather of Joey Godwin; dear brother of Albert Prochoren Jr., Linda Dick, and Gregory Prochoren, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
