William P. DeBaun, 93, of Millburn, N.J., died on Friday, July 19, 2013, at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m. Interment is private. Visiting hours are Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Union City, N.J., William lived in Millburn for 39 years. He was a decorated World War II veteran who served as a radar crewman in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945 and received the Asiatic-Pacific service medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Philippines Liberation Ribbon. In 1988, he retired as a fuel expeditor from PSE&G in Newark, N.J., where he had worked since 1953. William volunteered at New Eyes for the Needy in Millburn and was a member of the Millburn Old Guard. William was the beloved husband of Margaret 'Peggy' Drury DeBaun; devoted father of Stephen DeBaun and his wife, Jude, and the late Kathleen M. Doblosky; loving grandfather of Susan Luster, Beth Doblosky, Kevin Doblosky and Nicole DeBaun. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
