Obituary of Emma Inez Lockhart

After a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Emma Inez Lockhart peacefully went home to be with her Lord on August 12, 2011 surrounded by her family at Sentara Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, Virginia. She was 73 years old. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am with service to follow at 10:30 AM on Sat, Aug 20th at Calvary-Roseville United Methodist Church, 400 Main Street, East Orange. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Mrs. Lockhart was a long time resident of Ivy Hill apartments, Newark, N.J. She retired from Marshall Elementary School, South Orange, where she worked as a teacher's aide. Mrs. Lockhart is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Lockhart, parents, one sister and two brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter Linda, son-in-law Michael, grandsons Christopher and Matthew, granddaughter Brianna, seven sisters, one aunt, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
