Ann C. Aulisio (nee LaRusso), 69, of Brick, N.J., passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Sorrows, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on May 27 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven, East Hanover, N.J. Born in Newark, N.J., Ann lived in South Orange and Springfield, N.J., and resided in Brick, N.J., for the last seven years. Ann was employed by Altmans, Macys and A&S in Short Hills, N.J., for many years. She was predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Carmela LaRusso, and her brother, Thomas LaRusso. Ann was the beloved wife of Paul Aulisio; devoted mother to Debra Mercatanti and her husband, Louis, of Colts Neck, N.J., William E. Young Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Union, N.J., and stepdaughter, Susan O'Connell. Surviving are her sisters, Marie Wollermann and Carolyn Pronesti, and brothers, Angelo and Anthony LaRusso. She was the cherished grandmother of William A. and Ashley Young, and Camryn Mercatanti, and and stepgrandmother of Michael O'Connell. They were the "sunshine" in her life. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and a host of family members and friends. Ann was a kind, gentle, soft spoken women who devoted her life to her family. Her legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
