Cohn Family,
We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your father, Edgar. In the words of Albert Einstein "Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us. Our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life." He is alive in you.
Our thoughts are with you.

Ed's passing is a great loss. Such a wonderful human being. Within seconds of meeting him, it is evident how special and caring and warm he was. Ed's quiet, gentle manner and genuine affection for fellow human beings was truly a rare and wonderful gift. Although I only got to see Ed when Ed and Judy vacationed up here at Brentwood, I have a photo of me and Ed sharing a joke posted to my bulletin board in my office. It is the tragedy of this world that we must suffer the loss of beloved friends and family. If only they could stay with us forever.

I can visualize Ed reading, sitting in the wing back chair in the 'Brentwood' front sitting room overlooking Lake Huron, while I was at the front desk. He was always such a fine gentleman......will miss him.

Dear Judy :
How sad we were to hear of Eds' passing !
Although we only knew you both only a short time we felt like we had known you both a long time .
We shared some special evenings chatting in Brentwoods main lounge . Peter in the wing chair by the window . Then the evening last year on the beach while Peter stoked up the fire , it was great !!
Once you had met Ed there was "no forgetting him" Such a warm human being ! He is this worlds loss .

Our dear Judy. You were Ed's soulmate and and his life. We share your sorrow and that of the entire Cohn family. Ed knew himself so well and from that quiet strength emanated his very special talent of knowing and helping others. He gave of himself so generously and has left a void impossible to fill. That chair at Brentwood will be empty when we arrive next week but our hearts are full with the very special memories of Ed. We are much better people for him. Love, Barb and Fred

We join in sending our deep sympathy to all those to whom Edgar was close, who will now
miss the warmth of his winsome
personality and the interest
he took so keenly in the lives
of those he knew.
Maggie always felt a particular
bond with Edgar as they shared
a birthdate - August 7 - and was
grateful that Shari, Martin and Hannah were able to take her greetings and John's to him on their visit earlier this summer.
Edgar's life was characterised by giving: helping others to better understand the world and their place in it. So many people have reason to be thankful that their
lives intersected with his. We
feel privileged to be part of that circle and hope that all the family
members who mourn him and celebrate his life will feel the
support of that circle now and in the future.
With our love and sympathy
Maggie and John

We are sorry to know about Edgar Cohn. I find his obituary on the internet. I am Georg Strozberg's 3rd son, Marcus. Georg is Frieda e Lev Strozberg's son. Frieda is Herbert and George Cohn's sister, who has moved to Brazil many years ago. I have many letters between them and between Edgar and Frieda till 60's, when they lost contact. And a card announcing the birth of Alan's sisters, Shari Ann and Vivien Elaine, in January 30th 1957.
I hope you recieve my message and ask you to send an email address, to contact you later.
Best regards and feel so much again about Edgar.
