Obituary of Louis Fontanazza

Louis "Gino" Fontanazza, 87, of Newark died on May 17, 2009, at home in Newark. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 481 Sanford Ave., Vailsburg, Newark, on Wednesday, May 20, at 10 a.m. Entombment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Born in Catania, Italy, Gino lived in Newark for 85 years. He was a foreman for Hartz Mountain Inc., Harrison, from 1960 to the early 1980s before retiring. Gino was a member of the John Basilone Club of Newark. He was the beloved husband of Rielda Scarano Fontanazza; devoted father of Paul Fontanazza, M.D. and his wife, Maria, and loving grandfather of Louis J. and Maria M. Fontanazza.
