Obituary of Lauretta DiGiovanni

Lauretta Renna DiGiovanni, 108, of Maplewood died on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Wednesday, April 29, at 10 a.m. Entombment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Italy, Mrs. DiGiovanni lived in Union before spending the last 24 years in Maplewood. A homemaker, she was a volunteer at the spaghetti dinner at St. Joseph Church, Maplewood. Mrs. DiGiovanni was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale DiGiovanni, and the devoted mother of Ferdinando DiGiovanni of Florida, Concetta Polcaro of Cedar Knolls, Antonietta Mazza of Maplewood and Elena Magliaro of South Orange. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
