Obituary of Sarah Regina Edelen

Sarah Regina Edelen, 50, of Middleton, Wisc., formerly of South Orange, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Newark Abbey, Church of St. Mary, 528 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Newark, on Friday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sarah was born on June 21, 1958, in Newark. In 1976, Sarah graduated from Marylawn of the Oranges in South Orange and obtained her bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University. She was employed with Pathways of Wisconsin as a job coach for the developmentally disabled. Prior to moving west, she worked for EIES of New Jersey and the South Orange Public Library. She was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph F. and Mary E. (Browne) Edelen; loving sister of Paul, Luke and John.
