George F. Olson, 75, of Berkeley Heights, formerly of Millburn, died on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is at the Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Summit, Mr. Olson lived in Millburn before residing in Berkeley Heights the last 20 years. He was battalion chief for the Millburn Fire Department from 1957 to 1995 before retiring. Mr. Olson served in the U.S. Army and was a member of FMBA, Millburn. He was the beloved husband of the late Caroline Chirick Olson; devoted father of Nicole Olson, and dear brother of Carl and the late Amil Olson.
