Obituary of Kathleen F. Gallagher

Mrs. Kathleen Flynn Gallagher, 84, of South Orange died on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, in South Mountain Rehab, Vaux Hall. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Born in County Cavan, Ireland, Mrs. Gallagher lived in South Orange for 43 years. She was a medical assistant for Dr. John Medola in Maplewood from 1979 to 1985 when she retired. Previously, she worked for various physicians in the Oranges from 1950 to the 1980s. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, and a member of its Rosary Society. Mrs. Gallagher served with the Navy WAVES during World War II. She was the wife of the late Martin E. Gallagher; loving mother of Patricia Gallagher, and dear grandmother of Shannan.
