Obituary of Antoinette Tufano

Mrs. Antoinette Tufano, 72, of Cranford, formerly of Springfield and Newark, died Aug. 25, 2008, at the Cranford Hall Nursing Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. only at The Jacob A. Born in Brooklyn, Antoinette lived in Cranford the last three years. She was a waitress for Anns Clam Bar, West Orange, during the 1960s and 1970s before retiring. Antoinette was the beloved mother of Steven Matthews and his wife, Maria, and Ronald Schmitbauer, the loving sister of Lenny Tufano and Maryann Caccamo, the devoted grandmother of Mia and Ava Matthews, and the longtime companion of Ronald Matthews.
