Mrs. Kathleen C. Osterlo Miller, 64, of Springfield died on March 16, 2008, in Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Thursday, March 20, at 9 a.m., thence to St. James Church, Springfield, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Miller lived in Maplewood for 30 years before moving to Springfield two years ago. She was a French and geography teacher at Our Lady of Sorrows, South Orange, for 20 years before retiring. Mrs. Miller was a 1965 graduate of St. Peters College, Jersey City, with a bachelor of science degree. She was a member of St. James Church, Springfield, and an active member of the Republican Party in Maplewood, the Music Ministry at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, and then later at St. James Church, Springfield. She wrote poetry, some of which was published in anthologies of Famous Poets of America. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph L. Miller, and devoted mother of Claire M. Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, N.Y. 10016 would be appreciated.
