Maria Donohue Maher died suddenly at home in Morristown, N.J., on Oct. 9, 2016. The family will be receiving friends at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood, N.J., on Thursday, Oct 13 from 1 to 2 p.m. A service will follow at 2 p.m. Born in Germany, Maria lived in Short Hills, N.J., from 1975 to 2001, and Summit, N.J., before moving to Morristown two years ago. She received her bachelor's degree from Queens College. She was member and president of Daugavas Vanadzes (Latvian organization). Maria was the owner of D. Christian James Gallery in Summit from 1982 to 1991. She is survived by her husband, William J. Maher; sons, Donald Donohue, Christian Donohue, M.D., and James Donohue; step- son, William S. Maher; brother, Joseph Zilvinskis; sisters, Debra Hoyt and Terese Romano, and 10 grandchildren.
