Obituary of Margaret Ann Festa

On Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, Margaret Ann Festa died peacefully at her home in Roseland, N.J. She would have been 99 years old in September. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 10:30 a.m. Interment is at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Born in South Orange, Margaret lived there for most of her life until relocating to Roseland seven years ago. She was the manager of the mail department for Village Supermarkets Inc., Springfield, N.J., from the early 1970s until the late 1980s, when she retired. She also worked as a telephone operator for NJ Bell in South Orange during the 1940s. Margaret was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, and a member of the South Orange Senior Circle. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Festa; devoted mother of Margaret R. Aust, Gloria J. Galletta, and Samuel R. Festa; and devoted mother-in-law to Richard A. Aust; loving grandmother of Randy Aust and Maggie Aust.
