Elizabeth "Betty" Buchanan, 76, of Palm Coast, FL passed away June 5, 2014. There will be a Gathering in her honor on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Morrow Memorial Church " Ivy Chapel", 600 Ridgewood Rd, Maplewood. Interment of ashes in the Chapel Garden to follow Betty was born in Newark, NJ and spent most of her life in New Jersey. She had many interests that led to varied career choices. Betty worked for NEMC, in the music industry, and for AAA as a trip counsellor. She was a parishioner of Community Congregational Church in Short Hills, NJ and later became an active member of Morrow Memorial United Methodist Church in Maplewood, NJ. Betty moved to Palm Coast with Steven Ripley, her significant other, in 2006. Betty was involved with Flagler CERT and the Palm Coast Historical Society. She loved the Florida sun and the community activities. Betty will be sadly missed by her loving friend Steven Ripley; by her children: Lance B. Vickory (wife Andrea), H. Bucky Buchanan, and Lori Riter (husband Tye); by her grandchildren: Alanna, Jefferson (wife Milagros), Broden, and Ethan; her great-grandchild Lucas Donovan; and her brother Charles Bibbins (wife Emily).
