Jeanne Villanova Giaimo, 92, of Bergen County, N.J., formerly of Maplewood, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J. on Friday, May 31, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. No visitation. For more information or to send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net. Jeanne graduated from Whitman Junior College and was a legal secretary for many years. She also worked as a secretary for the Newark Board of Education, and 10 years for Public Service located in Maplewood. Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Giaimo and the devoted mother of Joseph Giaimo and his wife, Mary Lou, and Marilyn Chabora and her husband, Peter. One of seven children of Nicola and Anna Villanova, Jeanne was the dear sister of the late Dr. Ralph Villanova, Rose Basso, Dr. Michael Villanova, Anthony Villanova, Mary Tamburri and Theresa Blasi. Jeanne was the loving grandmother of Marc Altieri, Allison Glasgow and Daniel Altieri Jr. "DJ", and great-grandmother of Gianna, Maya, Alexandra, Carolyn, Thomas, and Isabella. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends whom she greatly loved. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
