Lorraine Goedde Bull, 88, a lifelong resident of Maplewood, N.J., passed away on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at Morristown Medical Center. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Prospect Presbyterian Church, 646 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 10:30 a.m. Interment is at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information, or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Lorraine graduated from Columbia High School, Maplewood, and earned a B.A. degree from Mary Washington College, Virginia, and a master's degree from Newark State Teachers College. She was a kindergarten teacher for the Livingston Board of Education from 1956 until her retirement in 1990. A parishioner of the Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood, Lorraine served as an elder, deacon, trustee and Sunday School teacher there and performed with the bell choir. She was a member of the Maplewood Women's Club, Republican Party and the Maplewood Garden Club. She was past president of the Maplewood Senior Club, a volunteer at the Durand-Hedden House and a recipient of the Maple Leaf Award for volunteering in the Town of Maplewood. Lorraine was the beloved mother of Richard D. Bull and his wife, Maria, and dear step-grandmother of P.J. Rourke. In lieu of flowers, donations to Prospect Presbyterian Church in Lorraine's memory would be appreciated.
