Obituary of Antone M. Balbo

Antone M. Balbo, 73, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Millburn, N.J., died on Thursday, July 8, 2010, in Hospice House, Vero Beach, Fla. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, N.J., on Tuesday, July 20, at 11:15 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Short Hills. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m. He was a mechanical engineer with Westinghouse Elevator Company, Morristown, N.J., from from 1954 to 1996 when he retired. Mr. Balbo was a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with an associate's degree. He served in the New Jersey Air National Guard in 1960s. Mr. Balbo was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Short Hills. He was the beloved husband of the late Tana Loffredo Balbo; devoted father of Antone M. Balbo and his wife, Carolyn, and Lisa Helmacy and her husband, John; adoring grandfather of Alex Helmacy, Christopher Balbo, Michael Helmacy and Megan Balbo, and loving companion of Mary Louise Basore.
