Obituary of Marie J. Hoehn

Miss Marie J. Hoehn, 74, of Cedar Grove died on Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Cedar Grove. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave., Cedar Knolls, on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is private. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Irvington, Miss Hoehn lived in Cedar Grove for many years. She was a computer scientist for AT&T in Basking Ridge for many years before retiring in 1989. She graduated from Benedictine Academy in 1951 and received a B.A. degree from Montclair State College in 1955 and a master of science degree in computer science from Newark College of Engineering in 1976. She was a member of Kappa Delta Phi and Kappa Mu Epsilon. Miss Hoehn was the beloved daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Hoehn of Newark and Irvington; loving sister of the late Sister Peter Josephine of the Order of St. Joseph; dear niece of the late Rev. Bernard Peters, O.S.B., and the late Rev. Matthew Hoehn, O.S.B. She is survived by her cousin, Marion Dosch; her godson, Philip Matthews, and many extended family members and friends.
