James P. Tansey, 85, of Millburn, N.J., died Aug. 4, 2012, in the N.J. Fireman's Home, Boonton, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Wyoming Presbyterian Church, 432 Wyoming Ave., Millburn, on Thursday, Aug, 9, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com Born in East Orange, N.J., James lived in Millburn from 1961 to 2011. He was a fireman with the Millburn Fire Department from 1955 to 1988 when he retired. Mr. Tansey served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Wyoming Presbyterian Church in Millburn, N.J. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet A. Bruce Tansey, and devoted father of Karyn Hanna, Susan Wolfe, Scott Tansey, Kellie Fieldsend, and the late Robert Tansey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
