Obituary of Lois H. Szpara

Lois H. Szpara (nee D'Anton), 83, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at home. Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Szpara resided in Maplewood for 63 years. She began working for her father, who was the owner John's Hairdresser in Short Hills, N.J., in 1945. Mrs. Szpara took over his business and became its owner in 1971. She retired in 2011. Mrs. Szpara was the beloved wife of the late Watson O. Szpara; devoted mother of John W. Szpara, William M. Szpara and Lisa C. Turi; loving grandmother of John Szpara, Erika Szpara, Michael, Matthew and Mark Turi, and dear sister of Josephine Nunn. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association , 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, N.J. 08691 would be appreciated.
