Elizabeth Henningsen (nee Schalkowski), 87, of Union, N.J., died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at South Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Union. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. Interment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. only.
Born in Newark, N.J., Elizabeth lived in Irvington, N.J., for 72 years, and Union for 15 years. She was a homemaker.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Harry Henningsen Jr., and the devoted mother of William Henningsen and the late Harry Henningsen III. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
