I am so sorry to see the passing of Chip from our world. He was an inspiration to our whole family. He was a role model for both me and my children. He went out of his way to positively lift up the self esteem of my children to help them on their path to adulthood. He had the gift to do it in such an unassuming and non gratuitous way that the guidance was transparent.

Chip was the voice of the voiceless and those in the margins of society. He left a seat no one can fill in Coalition on Race. He joins the choir of heaven with his wonderful voice. Peace to his soul. Rev. D. Charles

Dawilla,
I was googling past acquaintances from Univ of Ill days and came across Chip's Obituary. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I still have a picture of Chip and me posing in our Carmen costumes from U of I. So much changes over the years. I'm a pastor in Ridgewood NJ. I've been in NJ 20 years and never knew Chip was nearby. How proud you must be of him. From what i see here, his was a life well live.
All the best,
Rob Minor

Chip brought life to everything he did. His true kindness, his sincere passion for the welfare of others and his "never say never" attitude defined his work. We at the Enright Melanoma Foundation are so thankful that our paths crossed as they did. It is an honor to have known him both as our Executive Director and, more importantly, as our friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dawilla and the rest of his family.
