Obituary of Francis E. Maher

Francis "Frank" E. Maher, 95, a lifelong resident of Maplewood, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 in the New Jersey Firemen's Home in Boonton, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Saturday, Jan 4, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Mr. Maher was chief of the Maplewood Fire Department from 1965 to 1972, when he retired. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise M. Juliano Maher; devoted father of Linda Bott and her husband, John; loving grandfather of Christopher Bott and his wife, Maura and great-grandfather of Nicolas and Anthony Bott; dear brother of the late Dennis, John, Mary, Catherine and Genevieve.
