Obituary of Joyce N. McEvoy

Joyce N. Khalife McEvoy, 86, of Wake Forest, N.C., died Sunday, July 31, 2011, in the Hillside nursing Center, Wake Forest. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 110 Telford St., East Orange, N.J., on Friday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Born in Byblos, Lebanon, Joyce lived in Vailsburg, N.J., before moving to Wake Forest, N.C., three years ago. She was a waitress at Thomm's Restaurant, Newark, N.J., from 1970 to 1985 when she retired. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, Vailsburg. Mrs. McEvoy was the beloved wife of the late George J. McEvoy Sr.; devoted mother of George J. McEvoy Jr., and loving grandmother of Molly and Vincenza McEvoy.
