Carl G. Cito Sr. of Jackson, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Newark, he lived there and moved to the Shore area 35 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a purchasing manager at G.P.U. Oyster Creek Plant, Lacey from 1977-95 before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Before BPU, he worked at National Newark & Essex Bank for 20 years. He was affectionately known as "Mr. C." His recreational passions were watching the Yankees and spending a day at Freehold Raceway with his grandsons and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian Manuel Cito; loving father of Manos G. Cito of Bernardsville, and Carl G Cito Jr. and his wife Natalie of Jackson; devoted grandfather of Carl R. Cito. To accomadate family and friends, the visitation will be held at two different locations. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3 at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, DeBow Chapel, 150 West Veterans Highway, Jackson, and from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Newark. In lieu of flowers, donations to Make A Wish Foundation Of NJ, 1034 Salem Road, Union, NJ 07083, would be appreciated.
