Power --- On Wed, January 26, 2011 Dorothy Brucella Power, nee Lichtel of South Orange. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Parish, 285 Nesbit Terr, Irvington on Sat, Jan 29th at 10:00 AM. Interment Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 PM. For more information or to send condolences please visit prestonfuneralhome.net. Dorothy was born in Philadelphia on Jan. 2, 1918. A resident of New Jersey since 1940 and of South Orange, since 1971, Mrs. Power was a long-time member of the Our Lady of Sorrows' Rosary Society and the South Orange Senior Circle. Mrs. Power retired from Colonial Life Insurance Co. in 1981, after twenty years of service. She was an avid bowler and played in the Colonial Life Bowling League. Later in her life, she enjoyed playing Rummikub and card games, with family and friends. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward J. Power (married for 60 years); loving Mother of Dorothy E. Power and her husband the late Athony Vilardo, Mary A. Shields and her husband Richard; Edward J. Power and his wife Diane; Antoinette M. Salvesen and her husband Peter, Bernadette F. Power; Damien J. Power and his wife Marian; Jane F. Power and the late William A. Power. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
