Obituary of Genevieve A. Caffrey

Genevieve A. Caffrey (nee Carew), 85 of Warren, N.J., formerly of Irvington, N.J., died on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of The Mount Church, 167 Mount Bethel Road, Warren, on Monday, Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. Interment is in St. Mary's-Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Born in Newark, Mrs. Caffrey lived in Irvington before moving to Warren 19 years ago. She was the co-owner of the James F. Caffrey and Son Funeral Home in Irvington, N.J. from 1962 until retiring in 1989. Mrs. Caffrey was a past member of Women of Irish Heritage, West Orange. The love of her life was her children. Mrs. Caffrey was the beloved wife of James F. Caffrey, III; devoted mother of Marguerite "Peg" Brady, James F. IV, Michael P., Thomas J., John C., and Matthew T. Caffrey, Mary Ann Yoas (nee Caffrey), and Andrew P. Caffrey; daughter of the late Charles and Mary Carew (nee Phillips); also survived by her loving 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.
