Obituary of Patricia Syciarz

Patricia Regan Syciarz, 82, of Chatham, N.J., formerly of Short Hills, N.J., died on Friday, July 16, 2010, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, on Monday, July 19, at 10 a.m. Interment is in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit, N.J. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Orange, Mrs. Syciarz lived in Short Hills before moving to Chatham 17 years ago. She was an insurance agent for the Shepard Insurance Agency, Short Hills, for many years before retiring. She was a longtime volunteer at Overlook Hospital, Summit. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward C. Syciarz; devoted mother of Mary Anne O'Dowd and her husband, Joe; Edward C. Syciarz Jr. and his wife, Kathie, and the late Connie Syciarz; dear sister of Thomas Regan Jr. and his wife, Patricia, and the late Jeanne M. Regan; loving grandmother of Tim and Shannon Syciarz and Dan and Joe O'Dowd, and is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
