Fred Steitz IV, 55, of Iselin, formerly of Vailsburg and Maplewood, died suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, in JFK Hospital, Edison. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 1212 Kelly St., Union, on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 10:15 a.m. Interment is private. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Memphis, Tenn., Mr. Steitz lived in Vailsburg and Maplewood, moving to Iselin 14 years ago. He had been an accounts manager for We Care Delivery, Maplewood, since 2006. Previously, he was a customer service representative for TRW Credit Report for several years. Mr. Steitz was a member of the Union Elks. He was the beloved father of Carla and Fred Gregory Steitz; devoted son of Marilyn Boehringer Steitz and Fred Steitz III; loving brother of Terri Richardella and her husband, Joe, Donna Deverter and her husband, Joe, and David Steitz; also left to mourn, Donna Flaccavento, Betty Jane O'Donnell, stepchildren, Jenna and Eddie, and grandchildren, Destiny and Aidan and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Assoc., 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, N.J. 08691 would be appreciated.
