Obituary of Madaline L. Cook

Mrs. Madaline Lease Cook, 78, of Millburn died yesterday at Manor Care Nursing Home, Mountainside. The funeral service will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. Interment is at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair. Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Cook was born in Somerset, Pa., and lived in Millburn for 49 years. She was a graduate of Susquehanna University in 1953 with a B.S. in biology and mathematics. She worked at Lord and Taylor's department store in Millburn for 23 years until 1988. She was a member of the Wyoming Presbyterian Church since 1960, and served as a Sunday School teacher and on the board of deacons. Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband, Henry S. Cook; a son, Michael of Longmont, Colo.; two daughters, Catherine Cook-Davis of Princeton, N.J., and Cynthia R. Cook Higgins of Marlton, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Saler of Campbell, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary Ann Cheers of Annapolis, Md., and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Caring Hospice, 1090 King Georges Post Rd., Suite 703, Edison, N.J. 08837, and would be appreciated.
