Albert Shea, 92, of Short Hills, N.J., Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Redington Beach, Fla., died on Friday, April 10, 2009 at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, on Tuesday, April 14, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Short Hills. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Shea lived in Short Hills for 42 years. He was the owner of the Rotary Pen Corp. in Kenilworth from 1930 to 2003, when he retired. He served in the Army during World War II and graduated in 1954 from Rutgers University with a B.S. Mr.Shea was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen McDonough Shea; devoted father of Kathleen S. Mendes and her husband, Robert of Summit; Maureen S. Demko and her husband, Stephen of Atlanta, Ga.; John A. Shea and his wife, Joan of Chatham; Erin M. Shea of Short Hills; loving grandfather of Alison Mendes Aromando and her husband, Mark of Madison; Lauren Mendes Kelly and her husband, Wynne of Arlington, Va.; Missy Mendes of Washington, D.C.; Stephen Demko and his wife, Louisa of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Beth Demko of Brooklyn, N.Y.; dear great-grandfather of Luke and Madeleine Aromando; brother of Warren and Vernon Shea. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Archbishoop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation, P.O. Box 728, Peoria, Ill. 61652-0728 would be appreciated.
