Obituary of Mary L. Franks

Mrs. Mary L. Gaborek Franks, 93, of Southport, N.C., formerly of Maplewood, died on Jan. 17, 2009, in the Ocean Trail Nursing Center, Southport, N.C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Joseph's Church, Maplewood, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Born in Schuylkill, Pa., Mrs. Franks lived in Maplewood for 60 years before moving to Southport, N.C., three years ago. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Maplewood, its Rosary Society and the St. Joseph's Rainbow Seniors. Mrs. Franks was the beloved wife of the late David F. Franks; devoted mother of Mary Lou Renckly and Diana Murphy; dear sister of Joseph Gaborek, and loving grandmother of Shannon Marrs, Justin Renckly, Shawn, Christopher and Brittany Murphy.
