Obituary of Jane Olmsted Christie

Jane Olmsted Christie, 60, of South Orange died on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. The funeral is private. Visitation will be held at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Sunday, Dec. 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. only. She worked in South Orange at various law firms as a paralegal for many years before retiring. Mrs. Christie was graduated from Rutgers University in Newark in 1971, with a bachelor's degree in history and pre-law. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Christie; devoted mother of Richard Butler, Heather Christie, Elayne Ruane, Jennifer and Robert Christie; loving grandmother of Bridget, Brooke and Brielle Butler, Scott and Ashley Christie and Thomas Ruane, and dear sister of Leonard Monell Olmstead Jr., M.D.
