Rick Morrison, 49, of Maplewood died on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Josephs Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Newark, Mr. Morrison was a lifelong resident of Maplewood. He was a land surveyor for Decker & Coriell, Union, since 1983, and was actively involved as a volunteer for the Columbia High School baseball program, Maplewood. He was the beloved husband of Susan McCluskey Morrison; devoted father of Daniel P. and Sean F. Morrison; loving son of Florence Gilmore Morrison and the late Thomas Morrison; dear brother of Thomas (T.R.) Morrison, Linda Rockowitz, Carol McKenna, Ruth Tscherne and the late Michael Morrison; dear sonin-law of Judy Barth McCluskey, and brother-in-law of Cindy and Frank Mazzatta and Kara and the late Scott McCluskey. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to Columbia High School Baseball Boasters, 13 Hoskier Road, South Orange, NJ 07079 would be appreciated.
