Mrs. Laraine Ann Frasciello, 68, (nee Schnibbe), of Maplewood passed away at home on Sunday, June 15, 2008. In respect for her wishes, the memorial service was private. Arrangements were by the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, Maplewood. Born in Newark, Laraine grew up in Maplewood and continued to live there after her marriage in 1957. She worked for 20 years for the Township of Maplewood, eventually becoming the tax collector. Upon retiring, she spent her life dedicated to her family, especially to her grandchildren whose lives she was very much involved in. She had a passion for history and genealogy. She spent numerous hours at the Morristown Library researching her family lineage as well as assisting others with their research. Laraine was predeceased by her son, John. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Peter Frasciello; her children, Paul, Pamela Greenwald and her husband, Gary, Peter and his wife, Patty, Philip and his wife, Linda, and her five grandchildren whom she adored, David, Jessica and Erica Greenwald and Russell and Nicole Frasciello. She is also survived by her brother, John Schnibbe and his wife, Andrea, and her sister, Janice Coppola and her husband, George. At her request, donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905.
