Edgar J. Nervi, 90, of Maplewood, formerly of South Orange, died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 8:30 a.m., thence to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Gertrudes Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Port Reading, Mr. Nervi moved to South Orange in 1959, where he lived until moving to Maplewood three years ago. Mr. Nervi was a district manager at Bond Clothes in Newark from 1931 until 1982, when was semi-retired and was a consultant for the company until 1987. He was director of Wood Shop at Winchester Gardens, Maplewood, a volunteer at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark, and an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church since 1959. Mr. Nervi was the beloved husband of the late Margaret E. Wagenbach Nervi; devoted father of Michael Nervi and his wife, Mary, and Patricia E. Kukal and her husband, Joseph; loving grandfather of Christopher, Stephen, Kevin and Michel Nervi, Eric Kukal and Sharon Almeida; dear great-grandfather of Natalia, Macayla, Matthew and Peter. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, Va., 22038-1131, would be appreciated. DEATH NOTICES
